New Instagram Feature! Pin Posts To Your Profile [How To + Pin Ideas]

Instagram Alert For Interior Designers & Home Design Professionals!

Instagram has released a new feature that’s really helpful for Instagram business accounts. You can now pin up to three reels or posts to the top of your feed!

I’ll be honest, it’s rare for me to feel much enthusiasm for anything social media-related, but this is definitely a positive. Now you can feature your best information and it keep front and center for anyone who visits your profile rather than it getting pushed progressively down on your feed.

Are you ready for it? Let’s do it!

Then check below for ideas about what to pin to your feed.

1. Open the reel or post you want to pin and tap the 3 dots on the upper left of the post:

2. Tap “Pin to your profile”

That’s it! It’s now pinned on top of your feed.

“Pinnable” Ideas Interior Designers’ Instagram Feeds

If you’re an interior designer, architect, stager, or other home design professional, here are some ideas for what to feature on your pinned posts:

  • Pin time sensitive information like a reel or announcement about your upcoming product launch, IG Live, or webinar.

  • Pin a reel introducing yourself, your business, and the services you offer. Pin it, and it will always be there for new followers to check out.

  • Pin another reel featuring a walk-through of your favorite project that best showcases your work. Or a reel featuring short clips of multiple projects. Either way, let your personality shine. Create a voiceover really tying in the video to your design services and what it’s like to work with you.

  • A video alternative could be to create a carousel post of spectacular still images with a strong write-up below. Feature one great project or multiple projects.

  • Pin a third reel showing you hard at work. It could be you in a workroom looking at products, you in action during installation day (Amber Interiors is always great at featuring this), or whatever it may be, but showing yourself in a hands-on situation makes you look like a can-do designer. And that’s always a good thing. :)

I pinned one popular reel, one blog post I want to highlight, and one introduction post. Not bad for 30 seconds total work. I can take this a lot further and create reels or posts specifically to pin that highlight my design businesses. @greenhousestudioblog

Don’t forget to Pin it for later!
